Delta Executor Error Code 317: Why It Happens and How to Fix It (2026)
Last updated: October 20, 2026 | Current version: Delta Executor v2.743
You tap the Delta icon, Roblox loads, and instead of the script menu you get slapped with “Error Code 317.” No explanation, no helpful button, just a number staring back at you. If that just happened to you, take a breath. This is one of the most common Delta errors, and in most cases it takes less than five minutes to fix.
Here is what most guides will not tell you: there are actually two different problems hiding behind error code 317. One comes from Roblox itself, and one comes from Delta. The fix depends on which one you are facing, so this guide covers both.
The Two Types of Error 317
Type 1: Roblox’s Device Security Check
The most common 317 you will see comes with a message like: “This system has enabled additional security requirements. Please run on a supported device.”
This is Roblox checking whether your phone meets its security standards. Roblox uses a device integrity system that verifies you are on a supported physical device with a trusted operating system and an unmodified Roblox installation. If your device fails that check, Roblox blocks you before Delta is even involved.
You are likely facing Type 1 if:
- The error message mentions “additional security requirements” or “supported device”
- It happens in specific games like RIVALS but other games work fine
- You are on a rooted phone, custom ROM, or Android emulator
- Your phone is very old or missing recent security updates
Type 2: Delta’s Injection Failure
The second type is Delta’s way of saying the injection failed. The executor tried to attach itself to the Roblox process and something blocked it or the handshake did not complete. Think of it like a key that goes into the lock but refuses to turn. The app itself is usually fine. The problem sits between Delta and Roblox, not inside your phone.
You are likely facing Type 2 if:
- The error appears right when Delta tries to launch, before any game loads
- There is no mention of security requirements in the message
- It started right after a Roblox or Delta update
How to Fix Type 1: Device Security Check
These fixes address the device integrity problem. Work through them in order.
Step 1: Update your phone’s software
Go to Settings, then About Phone, and check for software updates. Install anything available, then restart your phone. Roblox’s security check requires recent security patches. A phone that is months behind on updates will fail the check even if everything else is fine.
Step 2: Turn off Developer Options
If Developer Options are enabled on your phone, Roblox may flag the device as modified. Go to Settings, find Developer Options, and turn them off completely. Then restart your phone and try again.
Step 3: Stop using emulators for affected games
If you are on BlueStacks, MEmu, LDPlayer, or any Android emulator, Roblox’s integrity check may treat the virtual environment as untrusted. Switch to a physical phone for games that show the 317 security message. Emulators work fine for many games, but strict titles will block them.
Step 4: Check for root or custom ROM
If your phone is rooted or running a custom ROM, that is almost certainly the trigger. Roblox’s attestation system detects modified systems. Your options are to unroot, flash back to stock firmware, or use a different unmodified device for Roblox.
Step 5: Try a different physical device
If nothing above works, try the same game on another phone or tablet. If it works there, your original device is failing the integrity check. Older phones that lack hardware backed security features may simply be incompatible with stricter games. In that case, the device needs to be replaced for those specific titles.
How to Fix Type 2: Delta Injection Failure
These fixes address the injection problem between Delta and Roblox.
Step 1: Update Delta to v2.743
This fixes the majority of injection related 317 errors. Download the latest APK from our Delta Executor APK download page and install it over your current version. Do not uninstall first. Installing over the top keeps your scripts and settings intact. After installing, launch Delta before opening Roblox, let it fully load, then start your game.
Step 2: Revalidate your key
Open Delta, and if it asks for a key, go through the key process fresh. Do not reuse a key link from yesterday. Generate a new one, complete it in one sitting without switching apps halfway, and paste it in. A surprising number of 317 errors are really key session problems wearing a different error code. Our Delta Executor key guide walks through the whole process with screenshots.
Step 3: Clear Delta’s cache (not its data)
Go to Settings, then Apps, then Delta Executor, then Storage. Tap Clear Cache. Do NOT tap Clear Data unless you have your scripts backed up, because that wipes your saved scripts and settings. Clearing just the cache removes the temporary files that may be corrupting the injection. Restart your phone after this.
Step 4: Reinstall clean
If the steps above failed, uninstall Delta completely, restart your phone, then install v2.743 fresh from a trusted source. Before launching, make sure Roblox itself is updated to its latest version from the Play Store. Then open Delta first, then Roblox. Order matters. Delta needs to be running before the game process starts.
Step 5: Check battery and permissions
On many phones, especially Xiaomi, Samsung, and Oppo, battery optimization silently kills Delta’s background process. Go to Settings, Apps, Delta Executor, Battery, and set it to Unrestricted or Allow background activity. Also confirm Delta has storage permission. Then try again.
How to Stop 317 From Coming Back
Once you are fixed, keep it that way:
- Update Delta the same day a new version drops. The version gap with Roblox is what causes most injection type 317 errors, so staying current is the whole game. Bookmark our Delta 2.742 update post to know when new builds land.
- Keep your phone’s software updated. Security patches are what keep you passing the Type 1 device check.
- Do not root your daily driver phone if you play Roblox on it. The integrity check will catch it.
- Do not let cleaner apps “optimize” Delta. Add it to the ignore list in any booster or cleaner you use.
- Keep one working APK file saved on your phone. If an update ever breaks, you can roll back in seconds.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. Neither type of 317 is a ban. Type 1 is a device compatibility block and Type 2 is a local injection failure. Your Roblox account is not flagged because of either one.
Read the error message. If it mentions “additional security requirements” or “supported device,” it is Type 1. If it appears during Delta’s launch with no such message, it is Type 2.
That is Type 1. Roblox treats most emulators as untrusted for strict games. Switch to a physical phone for those titles. There is no setting that makes an emulator pass the integrity check.
For Type 2, sometimes. A stale key session is one of the top causes of injection failures, so revalidating your key is worth trying early. For Type 1, the key has nothing to do with it.
Only if you tap Clear Data or uninstall without a backup. Installing the new APK over the old one keeps everything. If you must do a clean reinstall, export your important scripts first.
If it is Type 1, your device itself may be incompatible. Check our Delta Executor not working guide for device specific help. If it is Type 2, make sure Roblox is also updated, because a new Delta with an old Roblox (or the reverse) will keep throwing 317.
